This book is about child molestation and alerts children and parents of the danger signs to look for when a persistent interest turns to a "major addiction" in sports or any other interest a young child would have when faced with the fear of molestation..

Major League Addiction eBook Leeronnie Ogletree Angelisa Austin

This book would have been more effective had it been properly written and structured. However, I like the fact that it exposed the "baiting" method of a monstrous pedophile so as to warn others of similar tactics.

As a side note, I was originally contacted by Mr. Leeronnie Ogletree in late 2011, to assist him with writing his (this) book. I immediately dropped everything I was doing and began laying the foundation for this biography by executing loads of research and drafting outlines as my heart went out to him and others who had fallen victim to such atrocities. Unfortunately, months later, after numerous phone conversations, emails, planning and structuring, Leeronnie became convinced he could write the book on his own and avoid paying me for my services rendered. He flat out denied me pay and cut me off from any future earnings (as any ordinary Writer would receive). This greedy move will clearly be a detriment to the marketability of this book as it comes off being written by a third-grader. Why sacrifice proper form when you can have a compelling piece of literature worthy of libraries and reaching the masses? In the end, the love of money overruled and resulted in a literary train-wreck. For someone who holds the scars of being taken advantage of, Mr. Leeronnie Ogletree had no qualms about taking advantage of me (as a writer). But I am partly to blame since we both worked on this project from separate states and I failed to make him sign a contract. I guess my heart got in the way. I put off the signing of the agreement until I was able to meet him face to face. But that never happened since I was axed from the actual "execution" of the product. I wasn't even mentioned in the foreword of the book for my assistance, even though Leeronnie assured me I would be credited for doing so. He sent me a note through email that I was definitely "credited". To this day he has cut off communication from me and wears his label as a "christian" with pride. Thank you, Mr. Leeronnie Ogletree for dealing with me in an "upright" and righteous manner.

Major League Addiction eBook Leeronnie Ogletree Angelisa Austin Reviews

In "Major League Addiction, the author tells the story of how easily a trusting child can fall into the trap of a child predator, and the life-changing consequences of sexual abuse. Lured in by the opportunity to meet some of baseball's greats, Leeronnie Ogletree tells his story of how he was trapped in a cycle of abuse, and the helplessness he experienced when trying to tell those he cared about.

This book gives an understanding of a child's point of view of sexual abuse, the shame and confusion associated with it, and the disastrous results of several witnesses turning a blind eye to Mr. Fitzpatrick's misconduct. The author goes on to give some insight regarding the rampant drug abuse that the players partook in while he was working for the team, and the effect it had on him personally, highlighting the importance of good role models for our children.

This book gives a good insight on how to discuss with children the consequences of hiding sexual abuse, and will no doubt be an encouragement for those who have suffered from it in the past, and will help those who are suffering from it now realize that enough is enough. This book is Mr. Ogletree opening up about a subject that is rarely dealt with in our society, and getting the word out about sexual abuse in a less private setting than you would expect, and the passion he has for his cause is prevalent throughout the book.

Best of luck to Mr. Ogletree as he tells others his story. It's one rarely spoken of, but worth telling, worth hearing, and worth sharing.
As a current RN and sexual assault nurse exam as well as a retired attorney my hat is off to this courageous man whom I consider a homie, since I too live in Fla but grew up in Boston.
Leeronnie, your words are like a salve a balm and a healing for many, including older people who have suffered betrayal at the hands of a trustee.
I have been a constant observer of the Sandusky case and was vigilant about following up on my blog about the other unspoken horrors other young men, in another game have sufferd as well. I offer you my respect love and friendship, keep the fire burning.

You have left no stone unturned, which is what must be done before healing begins

Thank you Leeronnie
